I signed the Principles for Trusted Elections because an election only counts if people can trust how it was run. I respect the checks and balances in the Constitution, and I back elections run by the rule of law - open, fair, and secure. The five norms are simple: integrity, nonviolence, secure voting, responsible oversight, and trusted outcomes. None of it is partisan. It's the floor. If you can't trust the count, nothing else on the ballot matters, and I'll defend that floor whether the result goes my way or not.
By signing the Principles, you're joining thousands of Americans working to protect the freedoms and democratic values we all share.
Trust starts with action, and it starts with you.
