I fully support the Principles for Trusted Elections. These principles are simple but powerful: integrity, nonviolence, secure voting, responsible oversight, and trusted outcomes. They reflect the promise of our Constitution, that government must rest on the consent of the governed. That means every eligible voter must be able to cast a ballot freely, every ballot must be counted securely, and the results must be honored and trusted. Elections are not about partisanship — they are about the people’s voice. Protecting that voice requires peace, fairness, and transparency. When we stand by these principles, we do more than safeguard elections — we safeguard democracy itself.
